About Us
Our Mission
The mission of the Moore Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence is to enhance, expand, and enrich students’ educational experiences through private donations and gifts.Â
Your donations go to teachers & programs that have a direct impact on students. In just the last 18 months, our mission has had an effect on 100% of Moore Public Schools students. Whether it’s a sponsorship, an advertisement, a payroll deduction, or a general donation, your money is being used to further the educational experience of 25,000 students.
Our History
Academic excellence has always been the focus of Moore Public Schools. In 1995, a group of 30 community leaders established the Moore Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence. The Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization and its members are dedicated to the belief that public education plays a pivotal role in community development. Our staff, board of directors, and community donors work every day to ensure that 25,000 students have the best educational experience we can provide them.
Our Support
The Foundation's support for the school system comes predominantly in the form of Enrichment Grants awarded to innovative teachers and administrators. Every teacher in the Moore Public School district is eligible to submit grant proposals. Such proposals are reviewed for their curriculum enriching properties, and as many as funds allow are selected to receive stipends. Awarded grant funds may be used for:
Materials and Supplies
Specialized Non-funded Equipment
Visiting Instructors or Speakers
Field Trips
Supplemental Programs
Other Educational Experiences
Foundation members believe that Enrichment Grants help turn good ideas into great educational opportunities for our children.
